The short version

Aesthetic Record is EMR and practice management software sold only to aesthetic practices and priced per user. Mangomint is business software for salons, spas and med spas, priced per location plus per user, with forms and charting included in what it sells. Both publish their prices, both offer a free trial, and neither states a required long-term contract.

Pricing

Aesthetic Record publishes a starting price of $15/user/mo and a $399 startup and onboarding fee. Its site lists paid extras: e-prescribing at $40 to $45 per prescriber, its payments product, and additional training at $99 per hour.

Mangomint publishes $120/mo per location + $10/mo per user and says onboarding and data transfer are free. Its paid extras are phone at $70 per month per line, payroll from $50 per month plus $8 per worker, and marketing plans from $30 per month.

A solo provider will see a lower headline price at Aesthetic Record. For a larger team, work out both totals with your own user count and the extras you need.

Contract and cancellation

Aesthetic Record offers month-to-month or annual billing. Its terms say either party may end the subscription with notice at least 30 days before the end of the term.

Mangomint says there is no contract and that customers can cancel at any time and for any reason. It also says customers can take all their data with them on cancelling. Aesthetic Record's site does not state how you get your data out.

Built for med spas

Aesthetic Record lists photo management, procedure charting, medical director oversight and an ASPIRE Galderma Rewards integration. Its onboarding is described as 90 days, guided, with an assigned specialist.

Mangomint lists SOAP notes and image markup, before and after photo tracking, consent and intake forms, and integrations with Docovia for Good Faith Exams and Doxy.me for telehealth. It names two med spa customers on its site: Bare Laser Medspa and Pure Beauty Aesthetics. Aesthetic Record's site does not name a client.

Which one to look at first

Look at Aesthetic Record first if you want software sold only to aesthetic practices, per-user pricing, and published support hours.

Look at Mangomint first if you want no setup fee, a stated no-contract policy, and a written statement that your data leaves with you.

Neither site publishes a case study with a stated result, so ask each for a reference practice of your size. See every option in practice management software.
